My name is Dr. Jarom Ipson and I love being a doctor. I’m grateful to have the skills and opportunity each day to help people just like you improve their health. First and foremost, I love being a husband and a father. I am lucky to have a wonderful family life. My daily routine is to go to work helping people, then come home to my wife and daughters.
It wasn’t a conventional path that led me to what I do today. But, through many years of education and hard work, my efforts have grown to where we are today, helping people nationwide.
After graduating high school, I didn’t really have any interest in going into medicine because I thought getting a job at Walgreen’s Pharmacy would be a good idea. As I was working there, I found something really interesting. Sure, it was a great job and I enjoyed meeting lots of people and serving them at the pharmacy. At first, I thought maybe I was helping them with their health; but quickly I realized that I didn’t really feel all that helpful. People would come in month after month for years, getting their prescription refills. Yet, no one ever seemed to be getting healthier. If anything, they seemed to be getting worse and worse, taking higher dosages and more and more medications. This experience inspired me to want to go into medicine, wanting to become part of a real solution to helping people with their health. I set out from that point to find the best, right way to do that. Because of my Walgreen’s Pharmacy experience, I knew conventional medical schools were not the route to go. After a lot of research, I found a medical school that was more natural-based and basically in my own backyard. Fast forward a few years and I graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine with my degree as a Naturopathic Medical Doctor. A couple months later I passed boards and was finally able to get to work helping people. I started my own practice now known as Masterpiece Health. I went on to earn a fellowship in cardiometabolic care, which includes diabetes, blood, sugar issues and heart disease and how to reverse those conditions.
